Discipleship Disciples in Deed
The essence of discipleship lies in becoming a genuine follower, someone who humbly places themselves under the teaching and authority of another. While there are multiple inspiring figures one could choose to follow, there is one that transcends all others: Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, who sacrificed His life on the cross to redeem those lost in sin. His call resounds clearly in Matthew 4 when He uttered the words, “Follow me.”
In our time, many proclaim to be devoted followers of Christ, but He Himself warned that on the judgment day, He would point out those who professed insincerely, saying, “Depart from me; I never knew you” (Matthew 7:22-23). This leads us to question: What does it mean to be a true disciple of Christ?
It is with this purpose that we have created a series of six volumes of teachings on the gospel, Bible doctrine, and the Christian life. Each volume is dedicated to unpacking the fundamental qualities of a true disciple and, furthermore, aims to inspire you to embrace a deep relationship as a genuine follower of Christ.
In this series of lessons, we will explore the virtues that define an authentic disciple and examine how you can integrate them into your life. Our desire is that this series not only informs but also transforms, equipping you to embrace the authenticity of Christian discipleship.
